There is a concept coined by Sara Ahmed called "queer use"
Its essentially the idea of things being used "in ways that were not intended or by those for whom they were not intended", an example given is birds nesting in a postbox, but it of course extends to so many things people do as well. I thought this was really cool
The concept was named after an 1899 newspaper column which is below! I named myself after that column because I hate success apparently.
Its also fun to say!
